Emergency need

We're facing an emergency need in Honduras. This is one of the most desperate post-disaster situations we have encountered. And there is yet another storm that may impact this region by the weekend.

Our partner team from Puerto Rico just arrived and they quickly got to work putting the first of our water purification units into production. This unit can create 300 gallons of drinking water every hour. Fresh water is the first priority. Here is our team at work:

The team is also preparing and distributing meals through our partner church to those in the community. The need is almost overwhelming which is why I'm asking every member of the Mercy Chefs team to prayerfully consider how you can help.

What Mercy Chefs can do to help in Honduras depends on the generosity of friends like you! Please partner with Mercy Chefs so we can help rush relief to those who are suffering right now in Honduras while we continue other vital efforts. Go here to make your gift.

The devastation of Hurricane Eta in Honduras has hardly made our news, but it is real and it is tragic. Nearly four feet of rain caused unimaginable flooding. More than two dozen perished and thousands fled their homes. As I've shared, many were stranded on the roofs of homes and buildings until the waters receded. Now, the homes, businesses, and streets are deluged with mud and debris and destruction, and many are left without power or drinkable water.

People are taking up refuge under overpasses or in wooded areas -- any place they can find to sleep and try to piece together the next steps.

Will you help Mercy Chefs answer this desperate call?

Thank you for your prayers and your financial support.

God bless,

Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs

P.S. I just heard from our team in Honduras. They are very concerned about yet another storm that is headed that way, but for right now their attention is fixed on providing those in desperate need with drinkable water and meals. Please help. Go here:
