I hope you listened to Chef Jon's insider report on Mercy Chefs' relief efforts in Ukraine (see link at end of this message).
In that report, Chef Jon discusses in some detail Mercy Chefs' "map room," located at our warehouse in Romania near the Ukraine border.
+ + Our relief "map room"
The map room is where our team tracks food deliveries from our trucks and vans into Ukraine. While Chef Jon doesn't share specific locations in order to protect all those involved in what is a dangerous relief mission, he does offer considerable insight on our map room and the scope of Mercy Chefs' relief efforts:
"We get food from the northern border to the southern border, from the eastern border to the western border," he says. "And when I say eastern border, I mean the border with Russia including the areas that Russia occupies in Ukraine at this time. And I'm proud of that."
That means, if you've heard a Ukrainian city mentioned in the news coverage, it is very likely that Mercy Chefs and our partners have delivered relief to that city or that region.
+ + My request today...
As you may know, I have made a commitment for Mercy Chefs to continue this relief effort into 2023. This month, we'll provide another 400,000 pounds of food and supplies. But the costs are mounting and I need help.
I'm hoping 300 Mercy Chefs friends will partner with us this weekend for Ukraine relief. Will you stand with us by helping to sponsor 10, 20, 50 or even 100 Ukrainians to receive much-needed relief this month? Go here to make your gift for Ukraine relief:
Trucks and vans are being loaded up and leaving our warehouse almost on a daily basis. Each truck carries practical relief and hope. And each delivery is made possible by friends like you.
Thank you for your prayers and ongoing support in this vital relief mission for Ukraine.
P.S. If you haven't done so already, please take a moment to listen to this special podcast report with our Chef Jon who has been on the front lines of our Ukraine relief efforts since the very first days. Go here to listen:
